A brief history of my life
I was raised in a poor house. My father was wounded in the Civil War and died from the effects on his 47th birthday when I was only 4 years old leaving my mother with a family with very little to live on so she had to toil and labor to support the family working many long hours a day for 25 cents and my sisters stayed with different families for 50 and 75 cents per week. We raised flax and cotton from which our clothes were made. Sitting up late at night seeding cotton _______ into rolls and spun into thread preparing it ready to weave into cloth from which our clothes were made. by B. C. Money
